A HUGE thank you to all of the 108 players and 32 sponsors that participated in and supported Pacific Union College’s 2013 Maxwell Cup Golf Tournament! Because of the generosity of our sponsors and players throughout the years, we have now been able to raise over $175,000 for Student Scholarships through the Maxwell Cup Tournament. The scholarship fund has helped thousands of worthy students obtain a high-quality, Christian education at PUC.

The 2013 Maxwell Cup was played at the Silverado Resort and Country Club on April 19, 2013 under picture-perfect skies and 78-degree weather, needless to say, it was a great day for golf! A special thank you to all of our students and PUC volunteers who made this tournament possible. Some of the highlights of the day included a rousing rendition of the National Anthem by current PUC student Christine Ngwazini, a greeting from Maxwell Scholarship recipient and current PUC Student Association President Samantha Angeles, and a warm welcome from PUC President Dr. Heather J. Knight. Along the course, current PUC students were stationed at the holes, offering complimentary drinks, cookies, sandwiches, snacks, and fruits, as well as sunblock and other necessities. Of course the real highlight was the golf, played at Napa Valley’s premier golf courses, Silverado left nothing to be desired! The beautiful Maxwell Cup trophy was won by Team Bon Appetit, who will be back at Silverado to defend their title again on April 25, 2014. We hope you will be there too!
